“We Almost Had A Baby” - Emmy the Great
Everyone is rightfully celebrating Jay-Z’s openness about his & Bey’s miscarriage in the song “Glory.” It got me thinking about how important music can be for getting people to think and converse about taboo issues. One of the most shockingly open tracks that I’ve ever heard is this one by Emmy the Great; I don’t know how autobiographical it is, but it feels so honest & real that it doesn’t matter.
