The homage to Elvis Costello at the start of this performance is really cute, but this version of “Cheerleader” is even better. The director clearly got excited about this one - instead of stock late night tv moves, they do some zooms to accentuate the stuttered rhythm in the chorus.
Annie Clark is a great guitarist and we talk about that a lot, but her LYRICS are also amazing. Talk about that more, everyone!
